Day 19 - Chubby cheeks!

We now know where all the milk binging is going to - Jiaying's cheeks!

Day 18 - Kor Kor get well soon!

Kai Kai developed a high fever overnight and we went to the pedi to try to find out why. Turns out its dengue. Dearie do and Dear dear were quite shattered and worried about both our little babies. But Dear dear and Dearie do will be strong and take good care of them both.

Day 17 - Jiaying visits Toyland @ attic

Jiaying (or rather, Dear dear) made their first foray upstairs to the attic. Kai Kai kor Kor was really thrilled to see his mei mei join him up there. Here's Kai Kai patting his sister.

Day 16 - Kai Kai's return

The nights just got more exciting with both of them in the master bedroom. Sleeping so peacefully. We were initially worried that Jiaying's cries at night would wake Kai Kai up but so far, it seems ok.

Day 15 - Like Brother Like Sister

Spot the difference between the two photos. It seems our lil ones are most definitely from the same mould.

Day 7 - First visit to the pediatrician

Dearie do and Dear dear brought Jiaying back for her first pedi visit. Dr Ang said that her jaundice was better and we need not continue with her spa treatment. Also, Jiaying had gained a little weight. Yay- to mama's full cream milk!

Day 12 - Cure for hiccups!

Dearie do discovered a cure for Jiaying's hiccups. She has been hiccuping quite frequently and rather loudly, with the hiccups shaking her little frame. Papa decided to try the conventional hiccup clearing pose- with a modification where he strokes her back with a clockwise motion. It works!

Day 11 - Little Miss Sunshine

Jiaying looked every bit a little Miss Sunshine in her bright yellow outfit. Like a beam of golden sunshine, she has lit up our lives. Even the nights of constant diaper changes and feeds.

Day 10 - The princess of hearts

Jiaying looked really cute in her pajamas with tiny pink hearts.

Dear dear and Dearie do feel very blessed with their two little ones.

So far, it seems Jiaying is a "textbook baby" who seems milder and easier to handle than her firebrand brother.

We shall see how the subsequent weeks and months go as Dear dear and Dearie do learn how to juggle the two little

Day 9 - Posing for the classic shot

Jiaying and Dear dear posed the classic photo shot with the ELC cow.

Day 8 - First tummy time

Jiaying has her first tummy time today. And see how encouraging her Gor Gor is, standing by and watching over her.

Interestingly Gor Gor is more interested in the baby gym now than when he was younger. At least now, he knows how to pull the monkey to activate the music.

Day 7 - My 1st outing

Jiaying went for her first outing... to the pediatrician. Look out what nice outfit she had, down (up) to her nice stripy hand-me-down hat from Gor Gor.

Good news is, her jaundice has cleared. And she even managed to gain some weight from when she was discharged.

Day 6 - My Spa Baby

Jiaying is getting a head start in the feminine department - see how comfortable she is suntanning? Papa has also joined her in her suntanning though I think he is no sun worshipper. :)

Day 6 - Sunny side up

Jiaying woke up this morning to a bright and sunny day, so she went out for a nice spa treatment.

And see how she protects her modesty?

Day 5

Hello world! Jiaying finally opened both her eyes to look at her papa and mama as well as the world around her. And see her victory punch in the air? (Amazing how she managed to pull her arm out of the long sleeved top, mitten and swaddle.)

Love letter to Jiaying's Papa

My dearest dearie do,

I'm so happy to be home finally with our little one, the no-longer-so-little-one and my dearest doo.

Thank you for being such a wonderful husband and father to our children. It makes me teary just thinking about the love that you have shown - thru all your actions and how you have taken care of us.

We are yet again starting on a new chapter in our lives together - as parents twice over. Double the number of children and I'm sure, more than double the joy. It's humbling when you look into the eyes of your children, to see the simple joy they feel when they see you at the end of the day and also, learning more about each other as we go along.

Dearest do, I may not be the most patient or sensitive wife - and for the times that you feel your efforts are under appreciated, I'm sorry and would like to say it's never my intention. I am really touched by all that you have done for me and our family. I will learn to be better and more loving wife and mother to our lovely children. I may be more hormonal or emotional than normal (blame it on post partum hormones), so if I do say or react in a way that upsets you, I apologize in advance.

The next few months will probably be another exciting ride ahead- as we learn to deal with the new family dynamics and I'm looking forward to it already - admittedly it's both with some trepidation but also very much anticipation.

Finally Happy Father's Day my lovely Dearie do.  Me love you so very much.

Day 4 - Mei Mei is home!

Day 3 - Let me take a look around

Dear dear and dearie do were so excited to see mei mei open her eyes for the first time. It seems that whenever dear dear sings to her while breastfeeding, meimei will look around to see how her yummy mama looks like.

Mei Mei has a bit of jaundice, so will be going under the UV light today. She will need lots of fluids because of the spa treatment. Luckily she seems to enjoy her mama's milk quite a bit, and has been suckling well. Let's hope the jaundice level will come down tomorrow and she can be discharged with mama at the same time.

Day 2 - Gor Gor has lots of fun visiting mama

Day 1 - Big Head meets Chubby Cheeks

Kai Kai met mei mei for the first time today. He looked happy with his new playmate. At the very least, he can now tell everyone that he is not the only one with jiggling cheeks!

Welcome mei mei!

Mei mei decided to make an early entry on 11 Jun 2014 - like her brother before her, she was impatient to come out and meet papa and mama.

On the evening of 10 Jun, Dear dear started to feel slight cramps in her lower back. They didn't go away unlike the earlier ones and by later that evening, Dear dear and Dearie do were genuinely getting concerned.

At 2am, we got the grandparents out of bed and they came over. Dearie do then rushed Dear dear to TMC. We realized after a check that contractions were coming about 3-4 minutes apart and Dear dear was already 3cm dilated. It seemed that Mei mei was most definitely coming that morning.

After a quick conversation with Dr Sim, we decided to proceed with a c sec. Since mei mei was already 36 weeks and 2 days, Dr felt that it was fairly safe to deliver rather than to try to delay labour. Turns out that it was a good call because after the c sec, they realized that Dear Dear had slight placenta abruption and had it been worse, it would have endangered mei mei or Dear dear.

This time round, Dearie do and Dear dear remembered to take a nice photo. :)
