Kai Kai met mei mei for the first time today. He looked happy with his new playmate. At the very least, he can now tell everyone that he is not the only one with jiggling cheeks!

Welcome mei mei!
Mei mei decided to make an early entry on 11 Jun 2014 - like her brother before her, she was impatient to come out and meet papa and mama.
On the evening of 10 Jun, Dear dear started to feel slight cramps in her lower back. They didn't go away unlike the earlier ones and by later that evening, Dear dear and Dearie do were genuinely getting concerned.
At 2am, we got the grandparents out of bed and they came over. Dearie do then rushed Dear dear to TMC. We realized after a check that contractions were coming about 3-4 minutes apart and Dear dear was already 3cm dilated. It seemed that Mei mei was most definitely coming that morning.
After a quick conversation with Dr Sim, we decided to proceed with a c sec. Since mei mei was already 36 weeks and 2 days, Dr felt that it was fairly safe to deliver rather than to try to delay labour. Turns out that it was a good call because after the c sec, they realized that Dear Dear had slight placenta abruption and had it been worse, it would have endangered mei mei or Dear dear.
This time round, Dearie do and Dear dear remembered to take a nice photo. :)

Trip to the Zoo - " Zed Oh Oh"
Dearie do, Dear dear, Kai Kai and Jia Jia visited the zoo today.
We thought we would be bright and early - in fact Dear dear wondered why the zoo
couldn't open before 830 (turns out it might be the lions who were still asleep at 10am!). Kai Kai woke up only at 820am (the only time he's slept past 7 as far as we could remember).
Kai Kai and Jia Jia seemed to have enjoyed the trip. Especially Kai who looked at this Dear Zoo book and compared the pictures to the real giraffes, lions and snakes he saw.

Big C, little C, what begins with C?
It turns out that Kai Kai will have a meimei after all.
Today dear dear and dearie do visited Dr Sim. The minute Dr Sim place the ultrasound on, meimei showed the strategic area - "look mum, no ahem!"
The previous visit, Dr Sim still could not confirm because she said there seem to be something, but it could also be a big C. This time round, she was more certain. Lucky meimei!
Dear dear and dearie do are so thrilled with the news. Actually whether it's didi or meimei, it would have been happy news. Just that now we can look forward to another experience (and excuses to buy more things, like pretty dresses, fairy wings and tiaras).

Packing up for Cny baby moon!
Dearie do and Dear dear will be going for our babymoon over Chinese New Year. This time round, with Kai Kai and the grandparents in tow.
While we used to just throw a few pieces of clothing into the suitcase and be done with it, with Kai, we had a full packing list. He has already taken up a large suitcase by himself - despite only having a baggage allowance of 10kg.
Thankfully Di Di/ Mei Mei travels lights. He/she only wonders whether he will get a passport like Kor lor.
Dear dear is excited about this first overseas adventure with Kai Kai and hopes that it all goes fine!
Bali, here we come!

Maybe mei mei?
Dearie do and Dear dear made another visit to Dr Sim's.
The OSCAR results came out fine and we have just moved into the 2nd trimester (yay, the queasiness has also passed).
Once again we asked whether di di's gender could be confirmed. Dr Sim said she saw something between the legs but no scrotum (yet) so it's not conclusive. Then she added that from the side profile, it may be a girl.
Maybe mei mei?
We will have to wait another month to know. :)
